The terms that govern your use of The Legal Vault and the study materials we provide.
Welcome to The Legal Vault. These Terms of Use and Membership Agreement ("Terms") set out the conditions on which we provide access to our website, study notes, case breakdowns, audio explanations, and related learning resources (together, the "Materials"). By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or downloading any Materials, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not register for, pay for, or use the Materials.
The Legal Vault is a student-built academic resource platform created for LLB students at the University of Botswana. We provide structured study notes and learning tools to support your studies. We are an independent study resource and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the University of Botswana.
To purchase a membership you must provide accurate registration details. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. Membership is personal to you and may not be shared, transferred, or sold.
We offer three membership tiers: Free, Exclusive (P75), and Premium (P150). The features included in each tier are described on our Membership page and may be updated from time to time.
Payments are made via FNB Pay to Cell or Orange Money to the account details shown on the Membership page. Access to paid Materials is granted once payment has been confirmed. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current period unless required by law.
When you hold a valid membership, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Materials for your own private study only.

All original notes, case breakdowns, summaries, designs, branding, and other content created by The Legal Vault are protected by copyright and remain the sole property of The Legal Vault and its founder, Kopano Molapisi. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of intellectual property to you.
Where Materials reproduce legislation, statutes, or public-domain government publications, those underlying texts remain in the public domain; our arrangement, commentary, and presentation of them do not.
The Materials are study aids intended to support your own learning. They are not a substitute for attending lectures, reading prescribed texts, or doing your own research. We take care to ensure accuracy, but we do not guarantee any particular grade, exam result, or academic outcome, and you remain responsible for your own academic work and integrity.
You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, disrupt its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, share materials unlawfully, or attempt to circumvent payment.
The Materials are provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Legal Vault will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Materials, errors or omissions in them, or any interruption to the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Botswana. Electronic acceptance of these Terms (for example, by ticking an "I agree" box or by proceeding with payment) is legally binding under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2014.
